Restorative Dairy Farmer - Eastern Bay of Plenty
'We ran a simple low input system (250 cows, 1.5 labour units) so any improvement in workload and least hassle was welcomed. Main things noticed since the more balanced approach to fertility, reduced calving assistance required, reduced metabolic problems, better production (up to 400kgMS/cow, 1200kgMS/ha), more worms and improved pastures and better response after dry periods (most summers). The other major benefit is the economics of only purchasing the elements you require as opposed to the normal fertiliser rep (representative) trying to sell you as much product as possible.'
